The Killers promised to debut new music Tuesday, and they have kept their word. Returning today with “Runaways,” the band’s lead single is the first taste of their forthcoming album, Battle Born. The LP releases September 18. 

“Runaways” is a stormy and anthemic lead single, layered with sparkly synths and arena-ready lyrics from frontman Brandon Flowers: “It’s in my blood,” he sings, later stating, “Let’s take a chance, baby, we can’t lose.”
